(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the 93rd Jubilee Day Street Fair in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, on June 15, 2023. The vibrant street fair boasted food, games, handicrafts, retail products, carnival rides, and exhibitions of traditional culture from many countries and ethnic groups.

Practitioners set up a booth at the festival to introduce Falun Dafa to passersby. They also informed them about the persecution of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). People signed the practitioners’ petition to show their support for ending the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Jeff Palm, the president of the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce, said about 300 local and foreign suppliers participated in this year’s jubilee and that about 70,000 people attended. Some of the visitors came from as far away as Mississippi and Florida.

The street fair, which started in 1924, is the largest street fair along the east coast of the United States and is the oldest single-day street fair to date.

Visitors Support an End to the Persecution

Many people stopped by the Falun Dafa booth and asked about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. After learning more, many signed the petition to show their support.

Ms. Shi, a practitioner said, “We are here today to let people know about the persecution that is currently happening in China, including the CCP’s harvesting of practitioners’ organs while they are still alive. We are telling people just how evil the CCP is. I think that it is very important that people understand the truth.”

Sally Clark, a retiree, told a practitioner that she has known about the evil things the CCP has done for a long time, including its harvesting of Falun Dafa practitioners’ organs while they are still alive. But, she noted, many Americans do not know about it. She praised the practitioners for their efforts to clarify the truth.

“Many people pass by here, and many of them who do not know will come and look out of curiosity. After learning the facts, these people will go and tell others. I asked for a full copy of the petition because I wanted to show to others,” she said.

Valerie Kosa, a business manager, was hearing about Falun Dafa for the first time. “I am shocked about this,” she said after hearing about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. “I am very happy to be able to sign the petition to show my support today.”

Pharmacist Applauds Practitioners’ Efforts to Clarify the Truth

Pharmacist MyNgoc Dang-Nguyen thanked the practitioners for clarifying the facts. “It is only after obtaining information here today that I know about the persecution and live organ harvesting. That is so terribly sad,” she said. “They [Falun Dafa practitioners] have the right to practice the exercises. They are just relieving their stress and maintaining their health by practicing the exercises—and it is free of charge. I applaud their efforts.”

We Need to Stand Up to Stop These Crimes from Happening

Leslie Roeder who sells auto parts, was curious and came over to the practitioners’ booth. This is the first time that she had heard about Falun Dafa. “Very interesting,” she said. “I can’t wait to go home and take a look at these materials. They look really great.”

After learning about CCP’s harvesting of Falun Dafa practitioners’ organs while they are still alive, Leslie was shocked. She exclaimed, “So scary. This is so disgusting!” She signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP.

Leslie thanked the practitioners for their efforts: “I think that more people need to hear this important information, because it is so scary,” she said. “We need to stand up to explain and support them to stop this crime from happening. This is too scary.”
