In 1992 media footage showing starving men behind barbwire fences led to global outrage and reaction to ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslavia. It is long overdue for the media to show the world pictures of what is happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China today.
Like hundreds of thousands – perhaps millions – of others in China, Zhu was detained by Chinese authorities and sent to brainwashing classes in order to force her to renounce Falun Gong. She was held at the Pi County Brainwashing Center in Xinjin County, Sichuan Province.
Mr. Zhang Zhong, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Daqing. He built a cable TV signal interceptor to expose the crimes committed by Jiang’s regime in persecuting practitioners and deceiving people. In mid-April 2002, he was arrested by Daqing police, and in December he was sentenced to 12 years in prison and sent to the 3rd prison area of Daqing Jail.
Mr. Song Changguang was 26 years old and lived at Shuangcheng Village, Biangang Township, Dehui City. He was in his senior year at Changchun Post and Telecommunications Institute, majoring in Telecommunications, and was about to graduate.
Little Yuanyuan was born on July 16, 1999. Four days after her birth, the Jiang regime started the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. On New Year’s Day of 2004, four policemen from the first police station of Tongnan County, forcefully took little Yuanyuan away and until today, there is still no information on her whereabouts.
On April 1st, 2004, China Wuhan City police ransacked the home of Ms. Huang Zhao and her husband, stealing valuables and detaining the couple who both practice Falun Gong. Two weeks later, Huang was dead.
Jianjun was seen in the No.2 detention center at Huaihua in August 2003. At that time, he was as thin as a skeleton. He could not stand straight and had suffered severe injuries.
“Although I do not practice Falun Gong, I respect your beliefs. Those of you who cultivate ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance’ are all good people. No matter who stands against you, I will always stand by your side and support you!”
Mr. Li Yinglin, a Falun Gong practitioner has recently been verified as having died from internal injuries sustained from the beating. All of his toenails were broken off, a square piece of flesh was cut out of his left heel, his genitals and other areas of his body were covered in blue and purple patches.
In October 2003, after being detained for over one year, he was taken to the hospital where he became comatose. To avoid implication, they stationed plainclothes police outside the hospital and monitored all movements. After five months of suffering, Liu Jie passed away in March 2004.
