(Minghui.org) The school year in India begins in June, as the heat of the summer fades into the humidity of the monsoon season. Falun Dafa practitioners from Nagpur in central India decided to give the students preparing for a new year of learning a valuable gift to help improve their focus.

From July to September 2023, practitioners contacted schools in their area to introduce Falun Dafa and show the students the exercises. Fifteen schools agreed: Thirteen in Nagpur and two in nearby Wardha.

Over the course of three months, thousands of students and faculty members learned about Falun Dafa. Many of them were amased by the wonderful effects of the exercises, along with Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.


Clarity and Relaxation

Practitioners went to Sarvashri High School in Nagpur on August 7, and students from grades 5 to 10 gathered in the school courtyard to learn the exercises. Many in the higher grades said the gentle Falun Dafa exercises were a welcome relief from the stress of the school day as they applied for and prepared for college.

One student said that she felt especially good after doing the exercises: “After I practiced the meditation (Falun Dafa’s fifth exercise), my stress and worry subsided, my mind was rejuvenated, and my negative feelings were gone.” She felt that the exercises could improve her memory as she studied for her tests.

After another session held at Major Hemant Jakate High School a few weeks later on August 26, a grade 10 student said she had similar experiences. She could feel the energy while doing the exercises. Thankful to the practitioners who came to introduce the practice, she said that Falun Dafa would help her in the future as her studies became more demanding.

After practitioners demonstrated the exercises at Navyug Vidyalaya School on August 12, one student described his experience. “I could feel energy in my palms in the form of vibrations,” he said excitedly.

Practitioners also taught the exercises to 85 students and 7 faculty members at the Late Anand Jaiswal Primary School in Nagpur on July 25. As the session ended, a practitioner asked if the students would keep practicing Falun Dafa on their own. The entire room responded with a resounding, “Yes!”

Traditional Values Resonate with Teachers

Many faculty members at these 15 schools also participated in the exercise tutorials. As educators, they saw how the practice taught people to act according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives, guiding the students to be better people.

During the session held at Navbharat High School on August 5, the principal, Mrs. Nagulwar, said that the Falun Dafa exercises not only help students stay focused but can also help students develop better character. “We need Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in our lives,” she said.

The principal also asked the students to go to the Falun Dafa website to download the exercise instructions and encouraged them to do the exercises every day. Practitioners donated a copy of Zhuan Falun, Falun Dafa’s main book, to the school library so that the students could read it.

Some teachers also did the exercises with the students at Navyug Vidyalaya School on August 12. One of them was especially excited and said, “I personally feel the exercises should be done on a regular basis in the school so that the students can benefit from the meditation,” he said.

Dr. Jinde is the principal of Oxford School and Junior College in Wardha, which hosted an introductory session on August 11. Around 450 students and 50 faculty members learned the exercises. Dr. Jinde was very pleased and said he hoped the students would continue practicing Falun Dafa on a regular basis. He also invited practitioners to teach the exercises to faculty members so that they could help the students practice Falun Dafa.

Both students and faculty members at Renuka College had a great experience with Falun Dafa on September 8 after learning all five exercises during the hour-long session. Many of them asked practitioners where they could get Falun Dafa books.

The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
