(Minghui.org) May 13, 2023, was the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction and coincided with the birthday of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. Practitioners gave performances at Sydney Town Hall Square to celebrate the special day.
The performances included waist drums, dances, solos, choruses, instrumental solos, and ensembles, expressing the gratitude of practitioners to the founder of Falun Dafa. Some of the things people said were, “Happy birthday to Falun Dafa’s Master!” and “5.13 is a great and happy day, keep doing it to make a positive impact on those around you!”
One person said, “Thank you [Mr. Li Hongzhi] for spreading good things around the world and protecting people from bad things. Falun Dafa is very healthy for everyone, and it is good for any race, age, or religion. So thanks for introducing Falun Dafa!”
Falun Dafa Association Spokesperson: The Universal Values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Benefit Everyone
John Deller, a spokesman for the Falun Dafa Association in Australia, said, “Today, we hope that more people can understand the beauty of Falun Dafa. The principles of Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, are universal values that benefit everyone. The teaching is free of charge. It doesn’t matter what cultural background you come from, what language you speak, or whether you’re rich or poor, everyone is welcome.”
“Recently, Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, published two important lectures, “How Humankind Came To Be” and “Why Save Sentient Beings,” which involve the reasons why we came to this world, the purpose in life, the root of everything that happens to us, and so on. Mr. Li’s articles are for everyone. You can find them on the Minghui website, and I hope that more people will take this opportunity to read them.”

Hanzen Garcia said, “5.13 is a great and happy day. Please keep doing it and make a positive impact on those around you. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good so that we will have peace. Truth, it means we need to be honest. If we can live with compassion and forbearance, we can do it and practice it in life.”
She added, “We have to stop the persecution and I will tell more people about it.”
Rose Geneleo, who currently attends college, said the celebration was very peaceful. When she learned of the persecution in China, she said, “We should call for an end to the persecution. I will share this news with my friends. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good for society and helps us to have peaceful minds.”

Kenny Ladanon said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good for society. We need the truth to know the real situation. We need kindness to show that we care about other people, and forbearance is the same as tolerance. It depends on the individual, but you really should follow this practice because it is good for you and it’s good for those around you.”
Christian P. Del Vecchio said, “I learned about (Falun Dafa) in school, and it was very educational. I learned about it in English class; we were asked to write an article about Falun Gong.
“We don’t want persecution. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. I will learn more about the persecution of Falun Dafa. I would share it with others around my school, community, and family and get them involved, and you know, it made a difference in the whole world. It would be very good. Yes, it’s good to return to the traditional ways.”
He also said, “Happy birthday to Falun Dafa’s Master. I feel that you have been leading the world to a better place.”
Multimedia Expert: The Celebration Has a Sense of Peace and Sincerity.
Multimedia expert Amas Ahammed said the event has a sense of peace and sincerity. “The persecution should be stopped,” he said, “I’ll tell people about it. Raising awareness is the easiest step, but I don’t think that’s the last step.”
He said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are great. Truth is necessary, because without truth, you cannot judge reality correctly. In countries where the government controls the media, if the truth is covered up and the public does not know what happened, then there will be genocide. Compassion and empathy should be core principles of human interaction.
“A society without compassion is not going to work. Because you need people with resources to help people who don’t. The only way to do that is with compassion. Please continue to do what you are doing, and I hope that the suffering of your people will be seen by the world and that it ends.”
