Falun Dafa practitioners in Kumamoto held a signature-collection activity at Tenjin in Fukuoka on February 11, 2021.
The petition called for the public to support lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who is responsible for initiating the ongoing, brutal persecution of Falun Dafa.
They also held a peaceful demonstration and a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate in Fukuoka that day.
Practitioners set up an informational exhibition about Falun Dafa and distributed flyers at Tenjin, the most prestigious and popular shopping district in Kyushu. Many people who learned about the CCP’s atrocities against practitioners signed the petition to support the lawsuits against Jiang.

A middle-aged man told a practitioner, “I know about the persecution. It’s too cruel! I would like to help practitioners stop the persecution. I know some people in the city council and the parliament. I’ll contact them and tell them to pay attention to this persecution. I know it’s terribly hard for you, but you have to continue on!”
After an elderly man stopped to listen to a practitioner’s introduction, he said, “The persecution is brutal! I’ll sign!” After signing his name, he asked for some flyers. “I’ll share them with my family and friends,” he said.
Practitioners report that more than 513,000 people in Kyushu have signed to support the lawsuits against Jiang. More and more people are increasingly becoming aware of the true nature of the CCP.

Ever since the CCP launched the persecution against Falun Dafa in 1999, for the past 21 years practitioners in Japan have held demonstrations in front of Chinese Consulates during the Chinese New Year.
On Chinese New Year’s Eve, when people get together and celebrate with their families, practitioners remember that countless Falun Dafa practitioners in China have lost their basic human rights and freedom, and many have lost their lives—simply for trying to be be better people and following their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
One practitioner said, “My heart is heavy, especially during Chinese New Year. The CCP has been persecuting Falun Dafa for 21 years. This persecution has never stopped for one day, even during the pandemic. The CCP’s crimes have challenged the bottom line of morality. Our activities today call for justice and for the safeguarding of everyone’s basic human rights.”
