A pair of human rights activists are charging that “a crime against humanity” is happening on a large scale in China. Members of Falun Gong, a spiritual movement banned by the Chinese government since 1999, are being “in effect, murdered for their organs,” which are being sold to buyers from China and abroad, says David Kilgour, a former member of the Canadian Parliament and coauthor of the report.

A human rights lawyer and a former cabinet minister in Canada have added their weight to charges that China has been killing Falun Gong dissidents so it can use their organs. They provided English transcripts of phone calls, in Mandarin, made to detention centres and organ transplant clinics in which officials said organs from Falun Gong practitioners could be made available for speedy use.

New Independent Report Concludes Falun Gong Organs Being Harvested, Victims Killed

A 45-page investigative report was released today in North America that addresses allegations of organ harvesting from Falun Gong detainees. Coauthored by former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) David Kilgour and human rights attorney David Matas, the report draws “the regrettable conclusion that the allegations are true.”
