Chinese police detained Falun Gong practitioner Yuan Sheng, a veteran airline pilot at China Eastern Airlines based in Shanghai, on August 8, 2006 at Shanghai’s Pudong Airport prior to his flight to the United States. It was because he told one of the security personnel about the persecution of Falun Gong.
Falun Gong has been allowed to use large banners in its protests outside the Chinese embassy in Canberra, four years after they were banned by Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer.
Canadian Falun Gong practitioners won an important court motion on Monday which clears the way for judgment on the merits of an historic $20 million civil lawsuit against the former head of China, Jiang Zemin, and four other officials for torture.

A human rights lawyer and a former cabinet minister in Canada have added their weight to charges that China has been killing Falun Gong dissidents so it can use their organs. They provided English transcripts of phone calls, in Mandarin, made to detention centres and organ transplant clinics in which officials said organs from Falun Gong practitioners could be made available for speedy use.

In order to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party’s crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit, practitioners from Queensland organized activities in front of the Supreme Court to expose the CCP’s atrocities.

The criminal section of the Supreme Court of Spain decided to accept the appeal submitted by Falun Gong practitioners accusing Jia Qinglin, high official of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), of having committed genocide against Falun Gong and ordered the State Court of Spain to investigate and adjudicate the case.
Former director of the Asian Pacific Division of Canada’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, Mr. David Kilgour and well-known international human rights attorney Mr. David Matas, wrote to the Chinese Embassy in Canada, requesting a meeting with Chinese Ambassador, Lu Shumin. The Investigation Group wishes to conduct an independent investigation in China this month.
