The CCP promised to improve human rights if they were granted the right to hold the Olympic Games, but from the current situation we can see that human rights in China have not improved at all, but rather they continue to deteriorate. History will show that only the demise of the CCP can provide the Chinese people a way out.

A lot is happening around the world in this age. It is happening especially in China, where two things have caught people’s attention. One is the “rapidly developing economy,” which made the whole world open its eyes wide, and everyone is trying to join in. The other is the persecution of Falun Gong that has gone on for the last eight years. These two things highlight society’s materialistic and spiritual sides. The Chinese Communist Party’s “material development” and “spiritual persecution” are close companions to Chinese people’s, or even the entire world’s, daily lives. It is a phenomenon of modern Chinese society.
Recently, Chinese authorities sent out the following directive: Since early-April, the Chinese police have been secretly issuing “Notification on Strictly Carrying Out Background Investigations on Candidates for the Olympics and Performing a Pre-Selection Screening” to each province, autonomous region, police stations and bureaus in municipalities directly under the Central Government.
Recently, Chinese authorities sent out the following directive: Since early-April, the Chinese police have been secretly issuing “Notification on Strictly Carrying Out Background Investigations on Candidates for the Olympics and Performing a Pre-Selection Test” to each province, autonomous region, police stations and bureaus in municipalities directly under the Central Government.
A total of twenty UK parliamentarians have written to the Chinese communist regime or the UK Foreign Office since Wenjian Liang, her husband Zhiyong Lin and six other Falun Gong practitioners were detained in February, and sentenced to labor camps without trial in March. Amnesty International issued an “urgent action” and the UK media also reported on their plight.
Early this year, UN refugees Ms. Ma Hui and her daughter were unlawfully abducted and deported by the Russian Government. On May 13, another UN refugee was abducted and deported from Russia. Falun Gong practitioner Gao Chunman is a professor from Tsinghua University, forced to flee China because of the persecution.
