On April 20-21, 2003, an annual Easter celebration entitled, “Golden Past, Golden Future” was held in Bendigo – a famous Gold Rush city north of Melbourne, Australia. Falun Gong practitioners won two awards: “Best Social Group Participation” and “Best Theme Presentation.”
The World Truth Forum will examine topics such as Justice, China and the Law, as well as Human Rights and Civil Liberties.
The theme for the Parade was “Bendigo – golden past, golden future.”
Our parade entry fitted this theme very well. We represented some of the golden past of traditional Chinese culture with authentic Tang dynasty costumes and beautiful dancers including showing the ancient Falun Dafa Qi gong exercises and meditation.
Scattered with paper lotus flowers the site was pleasing to the eye of passers-by, much to the satisfaction of the organiser. The people were captivated by the beauty of the paper lotus flowers, as the practitioner’s energy covered the site while they practiced their meditative exercises.

The Zhongnanhai anniversary is a symbolic event and a solemn reminder that freedom of belief and speech is not only denied in China, but valuable lives have been lost unnecessarily, which is a violation of basic humanity.
Canberra Falun Dafa practitioners held a candle light vigil in front of Chinese Embassy in Canberra in the rain today to commemorate the many lives that have been lost to the persecution in China.
On April 25, 1999, more than 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China went to the Appeals Office of the State Council on Fuyou Street in Beijing to make an appeal in accordance with the law. They wished to ask the authorities to release the Falun Gong practitioners who had been arrested by the Tianjin public security officers. The Falun Gong incident of April 25, 1999 was not a sudden, accidental event. Nor was it the kind of political demonstration involving the besieging of a government compound as claimed by Jiang Zemin.
Attended by approximately 2,000, the 2003 New York Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference took place on April 19th and 20th at the Performing Arts Center at the State University of New York campus in Purchase, New York.
