Russia: Practitioners Hold Event in Moscow to Introduce Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities to introduce Falun Dafa at the Biruliovsky Arboretum in Moscow on June 4, 2022.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and gave waist-drum, Chinese dragon dance and classical Chinese dance performances. Vietnamese practitioners wore their traditional costumes and performed a bamboo dance. Their dances and musical performances were well received and many people took photos. While they demonstrated the exercises, some people followed along to learn.

Tables and chairs were set up next to the stage and people were able to learn how to write Chinese characters and fold paper lotuses. Both adults and children expressed an interest in Chinese culture. Many people at the arboretum were seen with paper lotus flowers with the words “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” which had information about the Falun Dafa website printed on them. While showing people how to write Chinese characters and fold paper lotuses, practitioners told them about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

Ekaterina said, “Through this activity people learn about ancient Chinese culture. The dance and music performances are great. Most importantly, Falun Dafa encompasses universal values. For example, one is not just dancing for the sake of dancing. It should encompass compassion. It is an important trait in the upbringing of a child and should also be found in an adult. Both my husband and I agree on this.”

Ekaterina and Victor brought their daughters, Marsa and Sasha, to the arboretum. After watching practitioners’ activities, Ekaterina said, “This is a good activity to hold at the park.”

After watching the performances, Larissa said, “I feel very energetic. This was an extraordinary performance. The colors are vibrant and the music is amazing.”

Larissa continued, “I can feel the energy and light emitting from practitioners. I experienced an immediate change and felt peaceful. It presents a harmonious relationship among people and makes one feel that all the negative things in the world have disappeared.”

Dasha said, “I learned how to make a paper lotus flower today. I like them and they are beautiful.”

Elena said, “We understand that no matter how bad the situation is or how bad one may feel, the lotus flower will always remind us that we will be able to overcome everything. Instead of giving up and getting frustrated, we need to move on and strive forward.”
