(Minghui.org) Around 5,200 Falun Dafa practitioners from different parts of Taiwan as well as the U.S., South Korea, Malaysia and other countries gathered at Liberty Square in front of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan for a character formation activity on December 9, 2023.
They formed an image of the Falun symbol and the Chinese characters for, “The Revolving Fa Reaches the Void, The Falun Is Constantly Rotating, The Buddha Fa Is Boundless.” Many tourists from Taiwan and from overseas took pictures and expressed their amazement and support for Falun Dafa.
Restaurant Industry Employee Compares the Vast Difference Between Two Cross-Strait Relations
Ms. Jin, works in the restaurant industry. She was video-recording and taking pictures of Falun Dafa practitioners’ character formation. She stated, “This is my first time seeing a large-scale character formation. I feel a very strong energy field.”
Comparing how practitioners can freely practice Falun Dafa in Taiwan versus the ongoing brutal persecution and suppression of practitioners in China, she said, “Taiwan and China seemed to be two different worlds.”
“This is unbelievable,” said Ms. Jin. She was not aware of the ongoing persecution in China and said, “Although practitioners in China are subjected to being arrested at any time, they are still firmly holding on to their faith in Falun Dafa. Practitioners overseas should treasure and cherish their cultivation all the more.”
Korean Tourist Feels Positive Energy During the Activity
Han, is a Korean computer engineer who is on vacation in Taiwan. He took many pictures of the activity with his girlfriend watching. He said that this was the first time he met Falun Dafa practitioners. He said that this practice must be good since there are a lot of practitioners silently practicing meditation exercises despite the hot weather. He was able to feel the positive energy.
Retired Man: There Will Be Peace in the World When the Chinese Communist Party Collapses
Mr. Cai is a retired man who silently watched the character formation during the entire event. He said this was his first time witnessing a character formation. He truly appreciated that “the atmosphere is very peaceful.”
Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated perseverance, peacefulness and serenity during the character formation. The activity created a clear contrast between China and Taiwan. Mr. Cai said after learning about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) suppression can be seen every where in the world. It would be great if the CCP were to collapse very soon so there will be peace in the world! Taiwan is more liberal and respects different beliefs.”
Family Member of a Falun Dafa Practitioner: Hoping for the Brutal Persecution to End Soon
Ms. Liu waiting patiently on the side while her family member participated in the activity. She said, “The weather is very hot today and it looks unpleasant for practitioners doing this under the scorching sun. However I see that everyone’s hearts are together and the atmosphere is great.” Ms. Liu stated she has once been to China on vacation and knew about the CCP’s fake media news. She hopes for the brutal persecution to end soon.
Teacher: Hopes That People in the World Can Witness Taiwan’s Religious Freedom
Ms. Miao is a middle school teacher from Miaoli County. She accompanied her husband, who is a Falun Dafa practitioner, to the event and watched the solemn and peaceful character formation process. Ms. Miao said, “Everyone looks very orderly. I also see many children wearing yellow Falun Dafa T-shirts. My husband’s temper improved after he started to cultivate. I plan to join him soon to study the Fa.
Lastly, she said, “I hope the whole world is able to witness Falun Dafa practitioners in Taiwan and see how they freely express themselves.”
Philippine Tourist Eager to Learn About Falun Dafa
Cyril, a doctorate student, and her friend Marilyn came for a vacation to Taiwan. They encountered practitioners’ character formation and were shocked to learn about the CCP’s ongoing persecution of this peaceful group. Cyril is a Christian and knew that Christians were also being persecuted in China. She said, “There is no religious freedom in China. Taiwan and the Philippines have religious freedom.”
Upon witnessing 5,200 Falun Dafa practitioners’ character formation, Cyril stated, “This is a memorable event.” She explained, “People who see this can quickly recognize that the CCP’s persecution of this group is unjust.
Marilyn works as a sales associate in an international company in the Philippines and said, “It is amazing to see such a large-scale event. This can help more tourists learn about the persecution.”
They promised to help inform others about the persecution.
