(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in Dublin’s city center on February 18, 2023, to tell people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes practitioners in China and collected signatures on a petition to end the persecution. More than 12 Chinese quit the CCP during the event.
Parnell Street has the most Chinese businesses in Dublin and is often called Ireland’s Chinatown. As soon as practitioners began setting up their banners, passers-by stopped to read them. Some young Chinese people took out their mobile phones and took pictures, and some declared their withdrawals from the CCP organisations that they had joined.
Falun Dafa Association Spokesperson Advises Chinese to Quit the CCP
Ms. Liu, spokeswoman for the Irish Falun Dafa Association, said at the rally that the COVID pandemic has swept across China. Overseas students and Chinese residents are worried about the safety of their relatives and friends in China. The rally was held to provide advice to Chinese people for a safe future.
Ms. Liu explained that although the pandemic is dangerous, there is a way to avoid it. Falun Dafa practitioners have been telling people to often recite the two phrases: “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organisations. This way, they can remain safe during the crisis. Ms. Liu said, “Please cherish this precious opportunity and the two phrases to avoid disaster.”
Ms. Liu urged everyone to read the article “How Humankind Came To Be” written by Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. She said, “This gives everyone a chance. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Irish Service Centre for Quitting the CCP Spokesperson: Recognise the CCP’s Lies and Revive Humanity and Kindness
Ms. Liu, spokesperson of the Irish Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, said, “Since the CCP took power, it has launched campaigns one after another, resulting in the unnatural deaths of over 80 million Chinese people.”
The spread of Falun Dafa has driven the recovery of social morality and brought hope for the revival of traditional values. Ms. Liu said, “Falun Dafa is a high-level practice guided by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. After it was introduced in China in 1992, it attracted hundreds of millions of people to practice in just a few years.” She said it also points a way for people to improve their character and return to their true selves and, “this is exactly what the CCP fears.”
“In 1999, the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Dafa,” Ms. Liu said. “The CCP even conducts organ harvesting from practitioners while they are alive. However, outside of China, Falun Dafa has spread to more than 100 countries. The main book Zhuan Falun has been translated into over 40 languages.”
Ms. Liu implored every Chinese present to think about why this is so, and hoped that they would recognise the CCP’s lies and true nature, and revive humanity and kindness. “The CCP is not China, and loving the Party is not being patriotic.” She emphasised, “Now more than 400 million Chinese have withdrawn from the CCP.” “I hope Chinese in Ireland can withdraw from the CCP organisations they have joined as soon as possible, sincerely recite the two phrases, and choose a good future for themselves.”
Chinese People Quit the Party on the Spot
More than twelve people quit the CCP organisations on the spot, including local Chinese who had been deceived by the CCP’s lies.
A Chinese man who lived nearby said he listened to practitioners’ truth-clarification many times. As he was misled by the CCP’s lies, he didn’t take the issue seriously and mistakenly thought that the practitioners were being paid. The practitioners who often clarify the truth there greet him warmly and hand him a booklet every time they see him.
When they met again at the rally, the man was touched. He told the practitioner his name and solemnly declared his withdrawal from the Communist Young Pioneers.
Local Resident: Tell Others about Falun Dafa
Shravanth carefully read the information on the display boards. He said that he had heard about the CCP’s persecution of religious groups, but he never heard of Falun Dafa. His expression became serious when he learned that practitioners in China lost their freedom, were tortured, and even had their organs harvested because of their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
“I must read these materials,” he told a practitioner, as he held up the flyers in his hand. After signing the petition asking the Irish government to speak up and stop the CCP’s organ harvesting, he photographed the contents on the display boards. He said, “Thank you for telling me this information, I will tell my friends.”
Even though it was the first time he had heard of Falun Dafa, Shravanth said he was interested in learning the practice. A practitioner told him that Falun Dafa consists of five sets of exercises and is guided by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He said, “These principles are very good, and this exercise is helpful to everyone.” He asked about the group practice time and said, “I look forward to seeing you again.”
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.
Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organisation with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
