(Minghui.org) A cool breeze under a clear sky awaited Falun Dafa practitioners when introducing the Dafa cultivation practice at the Japanese Daidogei World Cup street performance festival in November 2022.
The event had been closed down for two years given the spread of the pandemic, and was held again on November 5, 2022 in Shizuoka, which is located at the base of the Fuji Mountain.
Shizuoka had held the Daidogei World Cup in early November every year over the past 30 years. Being one of the largest, most recognised and well established iconic street drama festivals in Asia, the area’s creative art displays could be seen everywhere at the festival.
The festival has attracted more than 1.5 million people per year from all over the world. This year, given the pandemic, the duration and scope of the event were reduced, but there were still nearly seven hundred thousand people who came and participated in the festival in 2022.
Falun Dafa practitioners from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Sendai and Shizuoka also came to the event venue to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, promote the preciousness of Dafa, and collect signatures from event goers for the petition “to end the CCP’s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and bring the persecution’s main culprit, Jiang Zemin, to justice.”
Falun Dafa practitioners hung up banners inscribed with the words “Falun Dafa is Good,” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good,” “The Global Support of Chinese People to Sue Jiang Zemin for Persecuting Falun Gong,” “End the Chinese Communist Party’s Organ Harvesting from living Falun Dafa Practitioners,” and so on.
Practitioners broadcasted truth-clarifying recordings at different entrances to Sunfu Castle Park, the main venue of the event. The banners and recordings attracted people to stop and understand the truth, and then sign the petition. The practitioners also gave small, handmade paper lotus flower amulets to people who signed the petition.
The practitioners also told the students participating in the event that “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” is the universal spirit and standard for measuring good versus evil. Therefore, a person who abides by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance will be protected by the Heavens.
After listening to the truth-clarifying recordings, Mr. Yuuto was shocked and almost in tears. He was shocked to hear about the evil act committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), harvesting Falun Dafa practitioners’ organs while they were still alive. He asked to sign the petition and said, “This [organ harvesting from living practitioners] is really too cruel! How can human beings do such a thing!”
Four first grade girls, who were waiting outside the main entrance of the Sunfu Castle Park, are members of their school’s badminton team. These girls also signed the petition in support of bringing Jiang Zemin to justice.
Ms. Yoki told the practitioners that she had read The Epoch Times some time ago, so she understood a lot about the crimes that were committed by the CCP. Therefore, she will definitely support Falun Dafa.
The practitioners also met foreigners who were living in Japan. They showed their support for Falun Dafa. A young Western mother brought her four-year-old son so that he could sign the petition. After accepting the small lotus flower, she immediately tied it to her bicycle basket. When she found out that the Minghui website was published in her mother tongue, and she could watch a video on the website that teaches the exercises, the young mother said that she will do so after she gets home.
Ms. Riko, who had come to work in Shizuoka from China, shared that all four generations of her family suffered under the persecution committed by the CCP. When she was informed that more than 400 million people have already joined the wave of quitting the CCP and its youth organisations, she immediately agreed to quit the CCP’s youth organisations – the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers – which she had joined when she was young. She also said that she wants to tell her family in China and ask them to quit the CCP and its youth organisations, so that they could obtain safety and peace.
Mr. Kimura, who came from Hokkaido, said to a Falun Dafa practitioner that the CCP spread the Covid epidemic, letting the whole world see its evil nature clearly. He supports the practitioners’ peaceful and righteous act of seeking signatures for their petition, and hopes that everyone continues to persevere till the CCP disintegrates.
