(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held their second “Lotus Journey” car tour across Austria from September 17 to 24, 2022.
During the eight-day tour, practitioners traveled hundreds of miles to 14 cities. They informed people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa and collected signatures to help end the persecution.
Many people supported practitioners’ efforts and were grateful to practitioners for making them aware of the persecution. Some also wanted to learn the Falun Dafa exercises.
A Russian translator who lives in Baden, Austria, spoke with a Falun Dafa practitioner who was participating in the tour. “Have patience, have patience. Never give up!” she said. She sent her warmest greetings to Falun Dafa practitioners in China and said she hoped they could stay positive despite the persecution in China.
The car tour traveled to Krems, St. Pölten, Linz, Gmunden, Salzburg, Hallein, Klagenfurt, Villach, Bruck an der Mur, Leoben, Wiener Neustadt, Baden, Mödling, and ended in Vienna.
A Beautiful Beginning
This second “Lotus Journey” began on the campus of Danube University Krems. Many passersby came over to learn more after seeing the Falun Dafa posters, banners, and practitioners’ exercise demonstrations.
A lady who learned about the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and was given a handmade paper lotus flower was pleased to meet practitioners on their very first stop on their tour. “This is a very good beginning! Thank you,” she said.
A man said, “What you guys are doing is great!”
A couple expressed their gratitude after receiving informational flyers and paper lotus flowers. They signed the petition and said they supported practitioners.
“Everyone should do their best to end the persecution”
Throughout the tour, people expressed their support and signed the petition to help practitioners after being made aware of the ongoing persecution in China.
The temperature plummeted when the tour reached St. Pölten on the afternoon of September 17, and gusts of wind made the day feel even colder. Despite the weather, locals still expressed their support. Some passersby said that they liked how practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and exposed CCP’s brutality through the speakers.
A man said everyone should do their best to help end the persecution.
Two young men asked about the history of Falun Dafa after hearing about the persecution. They wanted to help practitioners raise awareness of the practice, took some truth-clarification flyers, and said they would share them with more people.
A lady asked, “There will always be evil in this world. What can we do to help?” A practitioner said, “People can make a choice between good and evil.” She pondered and said, “Yes, you’re right” and took some truth-clarification materials.
Reaching Villach
Practitioners set up an information booth in Villach, a city in the Carinthia region. A restaurant owner said he was happy to see practitioners in town again. Endless streams of locals and tourists signed the practitioners’ petition to help end the persecution.
An activity was being held on the campus of the University of Leoben when the car tour arrived. Many passersby got truth-clarification materials and signed the petition. A Chinese man listened to a practitioner explain the persecution. He stood there for a long time and was empathetic.
Reaching Baden
Practitioners set up an information booth in front of a theatre in Baden. A woman from India was happy to show her support by signing the petition. Her parents were missionaries and she had heard a great deal about the persecution of Falun Dafa from them. She praised practitioners for their bravery in exposing the CCP’s persecution and its criminal acts. She took a stack of truth-clarification flyers to distribute herself.
Stopping the Chinese Communist Party’s Persecution Together
Many people signed the petition in Salzburg and Hallein. They asked practitioners how they could help stop the persecution after seeing banners that exposed the CCP’s crimes of forced live organ harvesting. A lady beckoned her friend over to sign the petition.
Practitioners set up an information booth in the historic town square in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. The streets and buildings were all built in during the Baroque and Renaissance periods.
A transplant doctor was attracted to the information booth. He was aware of Falun Dafa and the CCP’s forced live organ harvesting. He had also heard about the book State Organs: Transplant Abuse in China. Practitioners gave him an informational DVD from www.chinaorganharvesting.org. Many passersby came especially to the booth to sign the petition and asked how they could help end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.
After learning about forced live organ harvesting, a man said, “I am speechless!” He became more positive after hearing about the blessings that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can bring to people. He signed the petition to help end the persecution.
Happy to Encounter Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Many store owners gladly accepted truth-clarification flyers and put them in their stores for customers to take.
In Bruck an der Mur, a city surrounded by nature, many local market vendors and shoppers encountered practitioners and learned about Falun Dafa.
When practitioners demonstrated the exercises on a square in Mödling, a lady stood by an antique shop on Pfarrgasse Street for a long time, watching. A cashier smiled after being given a flyer and was interested in learning Falun Dafa.
A couple in their 60s was disappointed about the bad things happening in the world. They were interested in Falun Dafa and took some truth-clarification materials.
Final Stop on the “Lotus Journey” Car Tour: “It is great to have people like you!”
The sun shone vibrantly on the last day of the “Lotus Journey” car tour, and the truth-clarification booth looked exceptionally beautiful.
Children’s eyes sparkled after receiving handmade paper lotus flowers and learning about the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Practitioners set up two information booths in Vienna on the last day of the “Lotus Journey” car tour, one in Vienna’s Chinatown and the other at the flea market on Kettenbrückengasse.
Four young people who understood the cause of the persecution asked, “Why haven’t we heard about the persecution and these innocent people being persecuted?” They signed the petition to help end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.
When a young man learned that a person could obtain four compatible hearts within two weeks in China, he said he would do more research about forced live organ harvesting.
A lady who had once read about forced live organ harvesting said she truly wished these atrocities would end.
A lady who chatted for a long time with a practitioner said, “I hope these signatures on the petition can bring some changes!”
A passerby said to a practitioner, “It is great to have people like you!”
A man from Europe who spoke fluent Chinese brought his daughter to the information booth. He chatted with a Chinese practitioner for a long time and signed the petition. He said, “I lived in China for a long time and I know about the persecution of Falun Dafa.”
The exercise demonstration left a deep impression on a man who expressed his admiration for the practitioners’ sense of calm and asked how long they could meditate.
Ten Chinese people withdrew from the CCP and its youth organisations after learning the truth about Falun Dafa.
