WENYI WANG acted rudely when she yelled and waved a banner at visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao during his White House appearance Thursday. She waved a yellow banner and shouted in Chinese: “Stop oppressing the Falun Gong,” “Your time is running out,” and “Anything you have done will come back to you in this lifetime.” She also yelled to Mr. Bush, “Stop him from persecuting Falun Gong!”
During President Bush’s meeting with Hu Jintao on the lawn of the White House, while attending as reporter, practitioner Wenyi Wang spoke out loudly for more than two minutes, calling on President Bush and Hu to stop the persecution. She was then taken away by security. On April 21, a judge announced that a hearing would be held at 9:30 a.m. on May 3, coinciding with World Press Freedom Day declared by the United Nations.
During President Bush’s welcoming ceremony for the visiting Chinese Communist Chairman, according to media, various issues arose one after another, and the largest one turned all the cameras from Hu Jintao to a Chinese woman.
