Sydney: Practitioners Hold a Candlelight Vigil to Mourn Fellow Practitioners and Call for an End to the Persecution (Photos)

On the evening of July 20 2008, Australian Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney arrived at Town Hall and quietly ignited candles. They sat in the gentle breeze, in mourning for fellow practitioners who have been persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for upholding the principals of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. The practitioners called for an immediate end to the brutal persecution that has gone on for the past nine years.

Sydney Practitioners Commemorate “April 25 Appeal” with Candlelight Vigil (Photos)

To commemorate the “April 25 Appeal” in Beijing in 1999, practitioners in Sydney held a rally and candlelight vigil on the square in front of the City Hall on the evening of April 24, 2008. They mourned the thousands of Falun Gong practitioners who have lost their lives because of the persecution, recounted the nine years of peaceful resistance, and condemned the CCP for its ongoing brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
