Gao Zhisheng has stated that he has been threatened and harassed by the authorities since October 2005, when he sent an open letter to the Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, urging them to respect religious freedom and end the “barbaric” crackdown on the Falun Gong spiritual movement in China.
The U.S. Consulate in Shanghai has notified individuals close to U.S. citizen Dr. Charles Lee that he is to be released and deported back to the United States on January 21, following a three-year unlawful imprisonment in a Chinese prison.
Lin Fusheng recalled, “It was very hot on the day Master lectured. Many practitioners did not bring any water with them. We were very thirsty. After the five hour plus lecture, everyone hurried to find water during the break.”
It is hard for the people to know clearly what’s happening in the society right now. Having experienced so many political movements, especially the Cultural Revolution, old people like me will not criticise, nor will we want to follow others. Who is right and who is wrong? We will wait and see.

The Falun Dafa Information Center (FDI) has received first-hand accounts of assault, battery, and theft perpetrated against Falun Gong practitioners in Argentina. The assailants were described as ethnic Chinese, all wearing suits, and driven by car and van to the scene of the crime; photo evidence has confirmed these descriptions.
Shortly after being warned to retract a second open letter about
his Falun Gong cases, Gao received a new summons from the judicial bureau. “I’m not sure how much time I have left to conduct my work,” Gao said. “But
I will use every minute to expose the barbaric tactics of our leadership.”
The Falun Gong spiritual movement seems innocuous anough but the Chinese
Government is torturing thousands of practitioners, claims its WA followers.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Herald’s China correspondent, Hamish MacDonald, won a Walkley Award on December 1 for his article on Falun Gong published in October 2004.
At a board meeting of the University of Western Sydney Students’ Association, all members unanimously passed a resolution to support Falun Gong, condemn the Chinese Communist Regime’ persecution of Falun Gong, and protest the extension of such persecution to Australia.
