I wish to bring to your attention the urgent cases of three Falun Gong practitioners in Australia who are facing torture and persecution if deported to China.
I am a fourteen-year-old secondary student in Auburn. I am writing to you regarding the issue of the continued signing of certificates restricting the use of banners, signs and cassette players in Falun Gong practitioners peaceful appeal opposite the Chinese Embassy in Canberra.
The persecution of Falun Gong does not just happen within China, even Australian citizens are experiencing it. Australian Falun Gong practitioners have been receiving all kinds of harassment and interference in Australia as former First Secretary of Sydney Chinese Consulate Mr Chen Yonglin exposed to the media.
We are writing to you in regard to the intended deportation of Falun Gong practitioners to China. This is a very serious matter and we ask that you take the time to read the information regarding their case and the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners both in China and in other countries, including Australia.
In the above excerpt from Zhuan Falun, Master Li Hongzhi clarified the essence of “look for reasons within yourself” and “cultivate your inner self.” This is why, after practicing Falun Gong, many practitioners changed into very tolerant people and their family relationships greatly improved.
This is a story about a person that, because he took other people’s property, became a slave in his next life in order to pay back what he had stolen. The retribution that followed is very touching.
At a board meeting of the University of Western Sydney Students’ Association, all members unanimously passed a resolution to support Falun Gong, condemn the Chinese Communist Regime’ persecution of Falun Gong, and protest the extension of such persecution to Australia.
I committed all these crimes. I already know that I was in the wrong. I speak about them now, because I will no longer commit such crimes. I now know the truth about the “Falun Gong practitioners,” whom the police told us to capture and bring to them. Falun Dafa practitioners are all good people. They don’t hit back or curse back when they are hit and cursed at.
On 16th March 2002, Mr Alexander Downer, the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, signed certificates declaring that Falun Gong practitioners banners across the road from the Chinese Embassy impair the dignity of the (Chinese) mission. The question is why does the Minister continue to issue these certificates every month for the last 44 months, and how do we define this impairment of dignity?
Zhang Dejiang, member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Politburo and Secretary of the CCP Committee of Guangdong Province, was served with a summons from the Supreme Court of New South Wales for the crime of torture against a Sydney resident, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xie Yan. He received the court summons as he led a delegation to attend the China Guangdong-Australia Business Conference 2005 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.
