Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) practitioners in Indonesia held a parade in Coastarina, Batam, on Independence Day, August 17, 2018.
Their colorful costumes, powerful music, and high spirits were inspiring. Spectators learned about this traditional cultivation practice that follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
The parade procession was made up of practitioners who demonstrated the exercises, a waist drum team, and the Tian Guo Marching Band.
Many practitioners dressed in celestial maiden costumes distributed introductory fliers and paper lotus flowers to parade spectators.
Local residents and tourists from mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, and other countries were excited to see the Falun Gong parade. They were surprised to learn that the Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting people who follow these great principles since 1999.
