The director of the Track and Field Association, the sponsor of the tournament Mr. Rao learned the facts about Falun Gong and found that Falun Gong is not as what the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) negative propaganda describes. He said that Falun Gong is a righteous practice and righteous way of cultivation.
Falun Gong practitioners from Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane held a rally and anti-torture exhibition in front of Parliament House in Canberra. They called on the Australian government to pay attention to the CCP’s atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and take to measures to stop this crime against humanity.
September 29, 2006, the United States Congress held its first hearing on allegations of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Four witnesses testified at the hearing. More than 100 people, including House representatives, legislative assistants, officials and advisers from the US government, and reporters attended the hearing.
On September 28, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Mckay harshly criticized China over human rights and democracy. As reported by the BBC, this was one of the bluntest comments that the Conservative party made since it won a federal election in January.

“A systematic form of inhuman and degrading treatment” is how Manfred Nowak, United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur, described what he sees as “widespread” use of torture in the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Bu Dongwei, also known as David Bu, was assigned to two-and-a-half years’ “Re-education through Labour” (RTL) on 19 June in connection with his activities as a member of the Falun Gong spiritual movement. He is detained at an undisclosed location, and Amnesty International considers him to be a prisoner of conscience. He is at serious risk of torture or ill-treatment.
The People’s Republic of China is an unpleasant dictatorship – with scant regard for democracy in Australia, it appears. Scant regard for democracy – and a few well placed agents of influence happy to collude with its human rights abuses.
Further support for an end to organ harvesting came in a statement this week referring to the Matas-Kilgour report, when the U.S. National Kidney Foundation said it “is deeply concerned about recent allegations regarding the procurement of organs and tissues through coercive or exploitative practices abroad, or practices which violate worldwide human rights standards.”
Two senior parliamentarians – one from Europe, the other from Canada – have called on the United Nations to investigate startling allegations that the Chinese government killed thousands of Falun Gong practioners and harvested their organs for sale.
