The promotion of Article 23 has irked the citizens of Hong Kong and people who care about the future of Hong Kong. Recently, people from all walks of Hong Kong’s society held successive protests. Over thirty civic organizations founded a human rights front and collected signatures all over Hong Kong. They will also hold a large parade across Hong Kong on December 15.

In the long river of history, human life is as short-lived as a jet of spray. In the vastness of the universe, human capability is as negligible as a speck of dust.
Increased communication among the 27 countries dealing with SARS has been a
key factor in controlling the disease’s spread, David Heymann, director for
communicable diseases at WHO, “China, so far,” he said, “has not been very helpful.”
In order to avoid being exposed and condemned for his vicious actions by
the international community, Jiang has sacrificed China’s best interests
through huge economic concessions and even ceding territory to countries susceptible
to his tactics in exchange for their silence.
Jiang single-handedly planned, launched and directed this persecution against Falun Gong practitioners, who persist in their belief in the universal characteristics of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.” It is a most evil, irrational and brutal large-scale persecution against human beings. Jiang’s regime uses all the methods to torture and persecute people that were developed through decades of Party history; it uses the giant government machinery under the control of a totalitarian power; it exhausts the nation’s manpower and resources in a genocidal persecution of tens of millions of kind Falun Gong practitioners.
As part of its worldwide campaign to persecute Falun Gong, the Chinese regime is exerting pressure on the Thai government to deport a Swedish Falun Gong practitioner living in Thailand.
Bringing a lawsuit against the Chinese dictator is not at all targeting China or the Chinese people, but targeting the person whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent people and his accomplices. These basic principles must be made clear.

Many people have died of SARS simply because China is not free, and

Chinese today will be brooding about that.
