Sydney Falun Dafa practitioners continue to appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate to call for an end of killing Falun Dafa practitioners in China.
In response to escalating reports of death by persecution in China, practitioners in Sydney held a candle light vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate on Monday night calling for an end to the killing.
At 7pm on January 12, 2003, practitioners in Melbourne gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to hold a press conference and appealed for an end of the killing of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Local media such as 3CR Radio, NDT TV and Epochtimes attended the activity.
In order to enrich Chinese culture in Australia, and to celebrate the onset of 2003 with people of Chinese extraction, volunteer Falun Dafa practitioners and Tongsong Music & Culture Promotions Inc. hosted a free variety performance. Entitled “Music of the Spring”, the event was successfully held at Marana auditorium, Hurstville entertainment centre, on the evening of Saturday 4th of January.

An attack on freedom anywhere in the world undermines that freedom everywhere else. If enough voices are raised in opposition to Article 23 it can be stopped.
On Thursday 19th December 2002, the winds of change blew the sails of freedom and justice for all, from Circular Quay and Town Hall in Sydney Australia, to the heart of Beijing, China. Over seventy people staged peaceful rallies to raise public awareness of the proposed changes to Hong Kongýs Basic Law through Article 23.

Over 70 practitioners from southeast Queensland gathered together in Brisbane, Australia in recognition of United Nations Human Rights Day 2002. This year’s theme was “Help Rescue Our Family Members” to bring awareness to the public of the family members of Australian citizens who are being detained and mistreated in labour camps in China.
