On Saturday, 15th May, Falun Gong practitioners from around Queensland joined together at Brisbanes King George Square in front of Town Hall to celebrate the fifth World Falun Dafa Day with dignitaries and the public. This was also the 12th anniversary of Dafas introduction to the public in China.
On May 15, 2004 about 300 Falun Dafa practitioners from Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne gathered in Melbourne, the capital of the state of Victoria, and launched a grand parade, revealing the moving, tragic and glorious history of Falun Dafa since it was introduced to the public in 1992.
Falun Dafa practitioners from Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Tasmania, Perth and Sydney held a large-scale parade in Sydney’s Chinatown to recount the great and peaceful journey of Falun Dafa.
The Falun Dafa practitioners of Australia are proud to host a grand parade on Saturday, 8th May 2004 in the city centre of Sydney. The parade includes cultural performances, drums & gongs, a special traditional costume performance, floats depicting the history of Falun Gong over the last 12 years.
On Sunday morning, in a grove at Sydney’s Darling Harbor, Falun Gong practitioners held a large group practice. The peaceful exercise music attracted many passersby and tourists, who stopped to watch. Some even learned the movements and joined in.
On November 16, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners in South Australia participated in the Port Adelaide Christmas Parade and were warmly welcomed by local people.
Every September to October in Canberra, Australia, the city hosts a spring flower festival, Floriade, where many thousands of people come from all over Australia and the world to walk through the beautiful display gardens.
On Thursday 23rd of October, Falun Dafa practitioners at Wollongong University held a photo exhibition titled “Peaceful Journey of Falun Dafa”.
Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners will form a gigantic lotus flower on the beach, highlighting the peaceful appeal for the human rights crisis in China and to call an end to the 4 year brutal persecution.
