Former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin, who defected recently from the Chinese Consulate-general in Sydney, successively exposed inside stories about the Chinese Communist regime’s extensive spy network that has infiltrated democratic western countries including Australia and persecuted and harassed Falun Gong practitioners inside and outside of China.

Australia Human Rights lawyer Bernard Collaery has filed a lawsuit in the Canberra Federal Court against Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, for abusing the privilege of his position by continually issuing certificates for the last three years to restrain Falun Gong practitioners from displaying banners and playing exercise music in front of the Chinese Embassy in Canberra, the nation’s capital.
On 22nd June, Canberra practitioners held candle light vigil outside the Chinese Embassy in memory of Gao Rongrong who was persecuted to death and strongly condemned the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities.
This survey was prepared by the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (Australia Branch) to investigate claims of harassment of Australian citizens because of their practice of Falun Gong.
The motion regarding Falun Gong was passed in the senate on 20 June.
