A key part of Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong is a blockade on all independent information about Falun Gong. Under Jiang’s direction, the state-run media in China has gone to great lengths to demonize Falun Gong — an image that is shattered by the knowledge that Falun Gong is legal everywhere except China (and there the ban contravenes the Chinese Constitution), and practiced in sixty countries around the world.
The persecution against Falun Gong initiated by Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin out of jealousy and paranoia has continued for more than four years. Meanwhile, the Jiang regime has extended the slander and persecution of Falun Gong to outside of China.
According to news from many sources, the Chinese Embassy is afraid that western people have found out that they have put pressure on the French authorities. They tried every possible way to create rumors and to stir up trouble for Falun Gong. However, many overseas Chinese people have already pointed out the obvious: it is impossible for the embassy staff to stop Falun Gong outside of China when it is already so popular all over the world.
The movement has previously filed lawsuits outside China against former
Chinese President Jiang Zemin, who it accuses of orchestrating the
persecution of Falun Gong members in China.
On Tuesday, 27th of January, more than fifty Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Canberra to protest the brutal persecution of another two practitioners in China in the New Year of 2004.
This is the forth year that the Falun Dafa group in Wollongong was invited to be part of the National Australia Day celebration.
