Japan: Falun Dafa Practitioners Peacefully Protest Near Chinese Consulates on Chinese New Year’s Eve

Throughout the years, practitioners have held similar events to peacefully protest the persecution since it started, and said they will continue until the persecution ends. Mr. Thanh, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Vietnam, said, “Today is Chinese New Year’s Eve and I came to the Chinese Consulate to send righteous thoughts. I hope the CCP stops persecuting Falun Dafa and practitioners.”

Chinese New Year’s Eve is usually a day that families reunite and celebrate. After the CCP launched the persecution on July 20, 1999, many practitioners in China were illegally arrested and detained in dark, cold prison cells, and cannot celebrate with their loved ones.

One practitioner who routinely participates in the protests in front of Chinese Consulates said, “Because the CCP slanders Falun Dafa and lies to people, they can no longer differentiate between what’s good and bad. Many people believe the CCP’s lies, and hate Falun Dafa. The longer the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa, the further society slides down. For twenty five years we’ve persisted in calling for an end to the persecution, and hope to awaken people’s conscious and compassion. We wish to revive peoples’ fundamental kindness and defend these most basic human rights. I sincerely hope this persecution ends soon.”
