Nagoya, Japan: Practitioners Raise Awareness of the Chinese Communist Regime’s Persecution

_______________________________

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Sakae, the busy business area in Nagoya City, Japan on Sunday, March 6. They distributed informational materials about Falun Dafa and collected signatures on a petition to support the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who initiated the persecution. They also told people about the CCP’s state-sanctioned organ harvesting from practitioners.

A middle-aged man stopped and talked with practitioners. He said that he was very concerned about the human rights situation in China and knew how evil the CCP was. A practitioner told him about Falun Dafa and told him about the petition. After signing the petition, he also encouraged practitioners to continue their efforts.

Many people stopped to learn about Falun Dafa and sign a petition to support the lawsuit.

A Chinese man in his 30s started chatting with a practitioner. The practitioner handed him a flyer in Chinese. He told the practitioner that he taught in a university. He believed in the ancient Chinese principle that good deeds are rewarded and evil deeds are punished. He said that he was very supportive of Falun Dafa.

The practitioner told him that millions of Chinese had already withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organisations. He said that he had become a Japanese citizen. The practitioner explained the importance of quitting his membership in the CCP organisations. In the end, he agreed to withdraw from the CCP organisations using an alias. The practitioner gave him a small paper-folded lotus flower. He accepted it, thanked the practitioner, and exchanged contact information with the practitioner before he left.

Practitioners held an event in Sakae, Nagoya City, Japan on March 6 to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people about the persecution.

Background: What is Falun Dafa and Why is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.

Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, issued an order to ban the practice.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organisation with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
