(Minghui.org) Celebrating the 15th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year with lanterns is an ancient tradition, and the Yuanxiao Festival (the first night with a full moon in the new lunar year) is known worldwide as the Lantern Festival.

Practitioners held celebratory activities and introduced Falun Dafa at a cultural center in Aarhus, the second biggest city in Denmark, on February 5, 2023. The event attracted many locals. Some learned about Falun Dafa previously during health expos while others said they were interested in learning to practice Falun Dafa.

The resonant beats from practitioners’ waist drums welcomed visitors to the cultural centre. Practitioners also prepared traditional dishes like glutinous rice balls and spring rolls, both of which are traditionally enjoyed during the Lantern Festival. When the activity ended, many people told practitioners, “I will see you next year!”

Practitioners demonstrated Falun Dafa’s five sets of exercises during the activity. Locals were interested in doing the exercises and everyone felt a peaceful and calm energy field.

After Adriana learned the exercises she said, “I feel very good and comfortable. I feel a strong energy field.” Adriana’s daughter took down the practitioner’s contact number and wanted to continue to learn the practice.

Jaspir and her friend, Bente, drove to Aarhus from another city. They expressed great interest after practicing the exercises and learning about traditional Chinese culture. They were also interested in how Chinese music and medicine are related to each other. Both of them were intrigued by how music had the power to heal. They told practitioners they were amazed and wanted to learn more about the essence of China’s traditional culture.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
