Italy: Practitioners in Rome Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

Falun Dafa practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day at Via del Corso, a main street in the centre of Rome, on May 9, 2021.

World Falun Dafa Day is held on May 13 each year, and this year marked the 29th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction to the public, as well as the 70th birthday of its founder Master Li Hongzhi.

It was a warm spring day in Rome and many people were out enjoying the sunshine. The Falun Gong exercise demonstration drew many people over to learn more about the ancient cultivation practice.

After hearing about the benefits of Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, many people signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s human rights atrocities. Several people told practitioners they wanted to help spread the word.

A young man told a practitioner at the event, “I’m not surprised by what the CCP regime has done to Falun Gong. They have arrested journalists who reported the truth about the pandemic from the very beginning. The CCP obviously covers up the truth. Unfortunately, the international society is more interested in doing business with China than exposing its crimes.”
