Jinan Prison in Shandong Province has employed numerous torture methods to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their belief, including beatings, being subjected to freezing and sweltering conditions, sleep deprivation, injection of unknown drugs, and solitary confinement. Some practitioners have lost the ability to care for themselves as a result of such mistreatment.
Practitioners Left Unable to Take Care of Themselves
Mr. Ma Fujian, from Shanxi Province, went on a hunger strike and has been forced-fed and injected with drugs at Xinkang Hospital for two years.
Mr. Wang Wenzhong is a 43-year-old resident of Yishui County, Linyi City. Prison officials tore his letter from his family into pieces in front of him on March 8, 2017, because it contained unfavorable references to the facility. The act caused him tremendous mental stress. Mr. Wang had a cerebral hemorrhage on March 12. He is currently held in the prison hospital and cannot take care of himself.
Mr. Huang Min, 73, was an electrical engineering instructor at Jiamusi University. He was sentenced to 20 years in 2002 for tapping into cable television to broadcast programs countering the Chinese regime’s propaganda campaign against Falun Gong.
He has gone on hunger strikes more than 40 times and endured various physical and mental torture, including being locked in a small cage, forced to sit on a “small stool,” and severely deprived of sleep.
Due to mental stress, Mr. Huang suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in the middle of March 2017. He is currently being treated in the prison hospital and cannot take care of himself.

He had severe bleeding in his stomach.
Mr. Liu Liangmin from Changle County was sentenced to three years and taken to Jinan Prison on January 19, 2017. He was on the verge of death from mistreatment by the local 610 Office, police department, and Changle Detention Center.
