Father John planned to write to the Prime Minister and tell his church members about the cruel persecution and call for signatures. On the first weekend of September, Father John asked church members to sit down after the service and told them about the tragedy of innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Further support for an end to organ harvesting came in a statement this week referring to the Matas-Kilgour report, when the U.S. National Kidney Foundation said it “is deeply concerned about recent allegations regarding the procurement of organs and tissues through coercive or exploitative practices abroad, or practices which violate worldwide human rights standards.”
Two senior parliamentarians – one from Europe, the other from Canada – have called on the United Nations to investigate startling allegations that the Chinese government killed thousands of Falun Gong practioners and harvested their organs for sale.
The Australia-China human rights bilateral dialogue has completely failed to assist in lessening or ending this human rights atrocity.
“A call to stop organ harvesting from thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China”. A press conference is to be held in Pitt Street, Martin Place, on Friday, 14 July.
A human rights lawyer and a former cabinet minister in Canada have added their weight to charges that China has been killing Falun Gong dissidents so it can use their organs. They provided English transcripts of phone calls, in Mandarin, made to detention centres and organ transplant clinics in which officials said organs from Falun Gong practitioners could be made available for speedy use.
Monday 3rd July 2006, ten school students from Sydney will spend their school holidays on a car tour from Sydney to Melbourne to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the Thirty-first City Festival Parade in Blacktown, the largest suburb of western Sydney. The parade attracted over 80 entries, and about 80,000 spectators lined both sides of the street along the route to watch.
The allotted four minutes passed very quickly, and the buzzer had rung twice; however, no one tried to stop the practitioner’s speech. All listened very seriously, and the atmosphere in the meeting hall seemed to have frozen.
May 13, 2006 is World Falun Dafa Day, a date that both heaven and earth are celebrating. Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney held a series of activities in downtown Sydney to celebrate it, including parades and performances. Many people enjoyed the performances and parades. They witnessed the beauty of Falun Dafa and also learned the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
