On Wednesday, 15 plaintiffs from the United States, Australia, Belgium and Spain filed a criminal lawsuit with Spain’s National Court charging former Chinese leader, Jiang Zemin with directing genocide and torture of Falun Gong practitioners.
(AFDI) 23 October 2003 – Falun Gong and its practitioners have no interest in politics, even less can people of Chinese descent who practice Falun Gong be called “anti “ their own country of birth. Given the facts about the brutal persecution of people who practice Falun Gong, it is not hard to imagine what certain members of the Chinese government are trying to divert the world’s attention from.
Falun Dafa Practitioner Chen Ruichang, the former Deputy Director of the General Editorial Department of Guangdong’s Television Station is illegally arrested again. His younger brother, Australian citizen Richard Chen, is appealing to people from all walks of life to contact the relative departments of the Chinese government in order to rescue his brother before it’s too late. We cannot stand by and allow another tragedy to occur–Ouyang Ming, the relative of another Australian citizen, was persecuted to death in China.
Yesterday, a local rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in Sydney marked
the launch of “The Global Coalition To Bring Jiang To Justice.” This
initiative is an international alliance organised by those who have suffered
persecution under the Ex China’s Leaders’s [Jiang Zemin] dictatorship.
Australian resident Tao Yuefang’s two younger sisters are being illegally detained for practicing Falun Gong. She is urgently appealing to kind-hearted people to offer support.
Ouyang Yu, the elder brother of Ouyang Ming is an Australian citizen. He is also a famous writer, poet and does not practice Falun Gong. He said he feels grief-stricken and helpless about his younger brother’s death, and he has nowhere to turn to seek redress for this injustice.
This was the third case of a family member of an Australian citizen having died at the hands of Chinese authorities for practicing Falun Gong. There are reportedly more than ten relatives of Australian citizens still detained in China for their continued practice of Falun Gong.
On October 2, a large-scale children’s activity, “Petals of Peace,” was held in Melbourne, Victoria. Parliament Member Anthony Byrne sent a letter of congratulations for this event.
In the afternoon of August 20, 2003, Ouyang Ming, the brother of Australian citizen in Melbourne Ouyang Yu, also the most outstanding teacher of Huangguang Industry School was tortured to death for his persistence in practicing Falun Gong.
>From March 25 to 28, along with two of my friends from Shandong, we secretly investigated those persecution cases of Falun Gong practitioners. The results made me quite angry.
