During the seven years from May 1992 to July 1999, the number of Falun Gong practitioners reached 70 to 100 million, based on internal investigations conducted by the Ministry of Public Security. A HORNSBY mother and her 15-year-old daughter have been unable to renew
their Chinese passports and return to China. The family say the passports have been denied because they practise Falun Gong.
PERSECUTED Chinese group Falun Dafa brought their teachings of peace and compassion to the Spring Festival street parade with a vibrant cultural display. Led by a group dressed in the distinctive bright yellow exercise outfits, Falun Dafa were the most colourful participants in the parade.
In the morning, practitioners went to San Maries, which was already immersed in a festival atmosphere, and practitioners took the opportunity to clarify the truth to local people.
Tang Yiwen is the sister of Australian citizen Lisa Liang. Tang is currently in China and is under severe threat of being illegally imprisoned for the third time in the past four years. Previous detentions have crippled her legs due to the severe torture she endured.
