An Australian Falun Gong member says she was held at a hotel in south-west
China’s Chengdu city by police wanting to know more about her activities.

HONG KONG (AP)–An Australian member of the Falun Gong meditation sect
accused mainland Chinese police Friday of locking her up in several hotels
in southwestern China for more than a week and interrogating her as if she
were “a spy.”

A statement issued by the activists today said the Australian Embassy was
only able to confirm details on the whereabouts of Ms Chen, who lives in the
western Sydney suburb of Canterbury, 72 hours after her disappearance. It
said Australian embassy officials headed to Chengdu to investigate the
matter.
