The Falun Dafa Information Center has learned that 46-year-old Ms. Zhang Lianying was beaten into a coma on March 20, 2007, while detained at the Beijing Women’s Labor Camp.
Many Australians think of China in two ways. The first image is that of an emerging global economic powerhouse, rapidly rising on the back of a colossal working population. The other is of a people increasingly demanding greater political freedom after half a century under a stifling authoritarian regime.
On the evening of March 28, 2007, ABC-TV’s flagship current affairs program “Lateline” reported in prime time that the New Tang Dynasty Television’s (NTDTV) Chinese New Year Spectacular shows would be staged in Sydney on March 29. The program also exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Consulate-General in Sydney interfering with the show.
On March 28, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ma Hui and her 8-year-old daughter Ma Jingjing, who had earlier been granted UN Refugee Status in St. Petersburg, Russia, were taken away from their home by six officers from the Deportation Department of the Immigration Bureau in St. Petersburg, Russia. On the night of March 28, one Russian policewoman and several Chinese government officers forced Ma Hui and Ma Jingjing to board Flight FV-215 from St. Petersburg to Beijing, and deported them to China. The plane took off at 19:50 from St. Petersburg.
After eight successful shows in four cities, the Divine Performing Arts played in Sydney on March 29, 2007.
All eight were detained on 10 February by around 10 plainclothes police officers, for participating in an illegal gathering at the home of Liang Wenjian and Lin Zhiyong. The police also searched their home, and confiscated Falun Gong literature and their computer.
On March 24, 2007, people from all walks of life held grand activities on Union Square downtown and on Garden Corner square in Chinatown to support twenty million people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The participants said, “The evil Chinese Communist Party has been uprooted. Heaven will destroy the CCP.” They called on Chinese people to quit the CCP for a safe future.
Following the successful conclusion of two performances in Brisbane, on March 18, 2007,the Divine Performing Arts Troupe once again touched the hearts of more than one thousand audience members with its exquisite and unique performance staged at Conrad Jupiter’s Theatre in Gold Coast, the second largest city in Queensland, Australia.
After nearly six months of continuous investigation, Canadian investigators Mr. David Matas and Mr. David Kilgour have more evidence to support the allegation of the Chinese Communist Party’s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
On March 21, 2007, the Divine Performing Arts Troupe presented the second performance of the 2007 Chinese New Year Spectacular in Canberra, the capital of Australia. The Spectacular was supported by many Parliament Members, businesses, and the media. More than 10 media outlets reported about the Spectacular.
