The Sydney University Falun Dafa Club took part in a food fair for the University’s Multicultural Day earlier this month. The club provided traditional Chinese dumplings and egg-tarts for the students, and performed a demonstration of the Falun Dafa exercises.
On Saturday 25th of September Falun Dafa in the Southern Highlands New South Wales Australia held a Hongfa and Parade for Bowral Tulip Time, which is a spring garden festival draws tens of thousands of tourists (including from China).
In the last few days the University of Western Sydney’s Falun Dafa Club
held a floral tribute to remember the 1,000 Falun Dafa practitioners who had been
tortured to death in China, during the last five years of persecution.
The event was held at Penrith campus as part of the university Human
Rights Environmental Student Collective’s organised human rights day.
This was the 100th year anniversary for the city of Toowoomba, Queensland’s Premier Mr Peter Beattie attended the festivities and was a guest of honour at the parade.
The organisers were so impressed with our float and activities the first year we participated that they sent us an invitation to be part of these events for the last two years. This is the Gold Coast’s only parade and attracts large numbers of people each year.
In the morning, practitioners went to San Maries, which was already immersed in a festival atmosphere, and practitioners took the opportunity to clarify the truth to local people.
Lane Cove, a beautiful city north of Sydney Australia, proclaimed “Falun Dafa Day” on August 21, 2004. Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney performed traditional Chinese dances and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.
Falun Dafa practitioners from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast areas participated in the 26th annual Yandina Street Festival, the longest running fair on the Sunshine Coast.
Falun Dafa practitioners from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast areas participated in the annual Sugar Festival in Nambour, Queensland. This is the only parade in the Sunshine Coast area.
The weekend of 19 June to 21 June 2004 marked the celebration of National Falun Dafa Day in Canberra Australia. Practitioners from all over Australia took the opportunity to gather in Canberra to make the public more aware of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and to expose the torture methods and lies used by the Jiang regime to poison the people of the world.
