According to an August 24, 1999 AFP report: “The Chinese Government has ordered Chinese lawyers not to plead for Falun Gong practitioners. This order comes from the notices of Bureau of Justice to attorney offices in major cities.”

For more than three years, the Falun Dafa Information Center has received — on a daily basis — dozens of reports of arbitrary detention, forced-labor, extortion, torture, death and other forms of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Last year, Jane Dai visited 26 countries with her daughter in the hope that by publicising her husband’s death, more people can learn about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Jiang regime. This would help to prevent other Falun Gong practitioners from suffering like her husband.
In the 12 days from the first to the 12th of March, reports of 38 deaths due to persecution have come from China. None of these practitioners had the benefit of any legal procedures.
