(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from the Dominican Republic participated in the XXV International Book Fair Santo Domingo 2023, which was held from August 24 to September 3, 2023 in the Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte. Practitioners introduced the spiritual practice and exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution.
At the book fair, practitioners introduced their experience of practicing Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong). They also explained that they improved their physical and mental health. Many people learned the Falun Dafa exercises while at the booth and purchased Falun Dafa books.
Some people saw Dafa books for the first time. “I feel like I had seen this book in my dreams,” said a young woman when she saw Zhuan Falun.
“It’s nice what I feel in this space. I can’t describe it. Falun Dafa, I won’t forget it!” said a young girl.
“I got familiar with the name Falun Dafa when I saw the Shen Yun show,” said an executive. “I have accepted the book Zhuan Falun, which is truly a special book. It touched my heart in many ways, and what I have read has given me a lot of clarity about the cultivation system Falun Dafa – I am very grateful.”
“I have for a long time watched the practitioners do the exercises in the park. I want to learn Falun Dafa,” said a foreigner living in the country.
“I feel so relaxed, good, and renewed,” said a young man who learned the exercises.
When they were informed about the CCP’s persecution, they were indignant. “It is an act of cowardice and senselessness,” said Mr. Cabral, a school teacher. “I think these crimes should be sanctioned worldwide. It is an unacceptable situation.”
A lawyer who was at the booth commented that perpetrators against faith would be punished by God, “The international community must collaborate and commit to punishment, according to the law. One should not be so permissive looking to the other side and be indifferent. We are all responsible if we wait in silence.”
