(Minghui.org) Shen Yun’s eight touring companies presented 47 performances in thirteen cities in France, Germany, Taiwan, Canada, and the United States during the last week of March 2025.

“I am Very Grateful”
Joséphine Laurens, a musical writer and violinist, saw Shen Yun in Montpellier on March 28. She has watched Shen Yun every year since she moved to Montpellier.
“I feel that every time I come to see this performance, I get the sense of taking another step forward in this quest for light, which unites people rather than dividing them like religions do,” she said.
“That’s what I appreciate; each time we make a little more progress in this spiritual journey that uplifts us, while still maintaining our roots and the beauty of earthly life. For the body remains significant, yet it aligns with the light and the spiritual energy.
“I am deeply moved by this performance, which represents the journey towards spirituality. The body eventually uplifts, and in turn, the spirit supports the body and opens doors, even through struggles. This is what this performance has revealed to me since I arrived in Montpellier.
“There is this effort of the body that strives to express what is truly this spiritual truth. I find that incredibly powerful.
“When we enter this performance, we come from the outside world, where we’ve heard news that gives the impression that the earth is degenerating. But when we leave the performance, we say no, there is still a flame that exists somewhere, and it is up to us to decide whether we want to be part of Shen Yun or allow ourselves to be dragged down,” she said.
She feels Shen Yun changes both the world and the people who see it for the better.
“It’s a powerful force! I think there are a lot of people who, when they come out of the show, feel some changes have happened,” she said.
“Now, there are those who will have the courage, or the will, to join those people on stage, and then there are others, as we see in certain parts of the performance, who will let themselves fall back because it is easier.
“Yet, at the same time, that flame continues to burn, and I believe we need it in this moment when we feel the earth is degenerating. We witness violence everywhere, but we’ve never known that there are also living flames everywhere, [Shen Yun’s troupes] which strive to make the world a better place, and people become better from the show to bear its witness.
“I find that very beautiful. I am very grateful because, ultimately, I feel a sense of brotherhood; sometimes we feel alone in our quest. But when we experience performances like this, we feel surrounded and strengthened, with the desire to continue on the path we began alone,” she said.

“Really Amazing Production”
Entertainment company head David Patrick Wilson and his wife Nan Gill-Wilson, a producer, saw Shen Yun in New York City on March 26.
“It’s such an incredible variety of, the look of it, you know, everything is beautiful. Oh, I’m going to take this with me. We actually have a production this weekend, so I’m going to take it back to my people,” said Mr. Wilson, an actor, writer, and director.
“Oh, it’s phenomenal,” Mr. Wilson said. “First of all, I love the dancing, the synchronicity of the dancing is incredible. The performances are amazing.”
With insight into what it takes to put on a performing arts show, Mr. Wilson said he was amazed at what Shen Yun had accomplished, with its patented backdrop technology and a production that must have taken a year to prepare.
“The performers are phenomenal. The execution is incredible. It’s just an amazing production. Really amazing production. I’m going to make sure that I tell all my friends about it,” he said.
Mrs. Gill-Wilson said the performance was “so beautiful” that she wanted to get up and “dance with them.”
“I love it. I absolutely love it,” she said. “I love the spirit. The spirit is so beautiful and the dancing is just so gorgeous.”
“The spectacle of it, the scale of it, the sheer number of performers, the synchronicity of the performances – it’s unbelievable,” said Mr. Wilson.

“It Was Powerful”
William Otterson, a film producer, saw Shen Yun in New York on March 26.
“I liked it very much. I think it was powerful. I was very impressed by the dancing,” said Mr. Otterson.

“Different Art Forms Flawlessly Placed Together”
Roger Harris, a documentary film director, saw Shen Yhun in New York on March 30.
“You have a combination of many different art forms. And there’s music, the orchestra are top, top skilled musicians. Then you have the singers, so there’s song and instrumentation. Then there’s dance and story, the lyrics of the song. So it’s a combination of a lot of different art forms flawlessly placed together almost as ingredients to a delicious meal,” he said.

“This Performance Was Perfect”
Michael Büttner, a vocal music professor, saw Shen Yun in Berlin on March 27.
“The orchestra was very good. The conductor had it well under control,” he said.
“This performance was perfect, very beautiful,” he said, noting his appreciation for the fusion of traditional Western instruments with Chinese instruments.

“Bring Peace to the World and the Future”
Baroness Rosalie von Landsberg-Velen, an entrepreneur, saw Shen Yun in Berlin on March 25.
“This kind of performance allows ancient Chinese culture to be revived and displayed, and conveyed to us Europeans. This is very good. This is very important, as it allows us to understand the past of Chinese culture,” she said.
“I believe in the power of God. In our case, it is Christianity, and ultimately, the spiritual and transcendental power. We are only here for a short time on Earth, and we should use this time to be kind to the Earth, to us humankind, to our neighbors and friends.
“Shen Yun has contributed to this, and I think it is very remarkable that such a great message can be spread so widely, to our country and beyond. Shen Yun conveys a very valuable and important message.
“I hope that they can reach more and more people with these messages and have the power to last for many years, because I think this is a very important contribution to society, global peace and everyone in the world. That is, let us all believe in the power of God, and this belief will bring peace to the world and the future,” she said.

“An Outstanding Event”
Baron Michael von Ketteler, a German nobleman, saw Shen Yun in Berlin on March 28.
“Very good, and very impressive. I was very impressed by the artistic value, the presentation, and the costumes. The whole thing was an outstanding event, an outstanding performance. We really enjoyed it,” he said.
“I think it’s impressive, and it’s part of the credibility of standing by and continuing to maintain this tradition. It’s important to stand by this tradition. We’re talking about hundreds, thousands of years. If we don’t tell our children and grandchildren about this, then eventually no one will know it anymore,” he said.

“It’s Very Beautiful”
Attorney John Lauro saw Shen Yun in New York on March 29.
“It’s very spiritual, it’s very beautiful. And you understand Falun Dafa and the problems that there are and the tremendous challenges against the oppression in China. But you also see the wonderful, beautiful experience and the spirituality of the dancers and all of the practitioners,” said Mr. Lauro.
