(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners organised outreach events to raise awareness and collect signatures on petitions that aim to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in China. These events were held in Brașov on March 15 and March 22, and in Bucharest on March 22, 2025.
Justice Will Prevail
Mihail Olariu, a 37-year-old translator from Ploiesti, signed the petition during the event in Brașov to stop the persecution and explained what prompted him to do so. He said he read about the persecution in China on the Internet—including reports that Falun Dafa practitioners are victims of the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.
“I knew that in China there is a kind of tyranny, obviously because it’s communism, but to do something like this – to take an organ from a person – it’s horrifying what’s happening there.
“Falun Dafa promotes morality regardless of authority, and indirectly they [the CCP] are bothered by disobedience, just like the Christians who were thrown to the lions during Roman times. But it’s not disobedience per se, it’s morality, it’s a strong moral spirit and sense.”
He said that he believed the CCP is a tyrannical regime that, “Represses any head that doesn’t stay bowed. The values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the norm. For anyone with an ounce of conscience it’s obvious that the transformation is for the better, and when society wins, I win. But for those who think only of ‘me,’ of themselves, of their ego, this is obviously not good, because they lose a supporter, they lose a slave. And then they eliminate that slave, because [morality] spreads to other slaves who don’t listen to him. That’s how they [CCP] think,” he said.
Mihai said that it’s necessary that the international community becomes involved in order to eradicate injustice. “Things will change, they are changing slowly unfortunately, but those of us in the international community who know and understand need to put massive pressure against injustice. Definitely, good will win,” he said.
History Teacher: More People are Learning the Truth
Florin Matyas, a history and English teacher from Brașov, worked for six years as an English teacher in South Korea and 20 years in Canada, where he learned about Falun Dafa and bought Falun Dafa books.
“I’ve known about Falun Dafa for a long time. I have the books. I know it’s a spiritual practice that originated in China,” Florin said. “It is banned in China. The practice is highly demonised by the communist party. I know that the persecution of practitioners is also horrific – practitioners are murdered, their organs are harvested and they are sold.
“Falun Dafa is very good—it’s not only a philosophy but also a system of exercises for health. Its values, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, are very good. They are exactly what we need today because they are lacking. It would be great if we practiced them every day. When a man lives in harmony, those around him feel his good energy and balance,” he continued.
Florin said that the communist regime’s persecution of Falun Dafa is part of its strategy to eliminate anything that does not obey it.
“Do you know what the problem is in China? China is very advanced technologically, commercially, industrially, and is now becoming a great military power, but it’s also a totalitarian state that is completely opposed to religion and spirituality. So in China if you want to practice any kind of religion or spirituality, you are actually subservient to the communist party. So everything is under their rule and guidance.”
He said the CCP infiltrates Romania through the Confucius Institutes, and talked about his own experience caused by such an institute in the university where he earned his master’s degree in history.
Florin urged Falun Dafa practitioners in China to, “Continue to practice and deepen traditional Chinese culture that has nothing to do with the ideology of the communist party,” and those outside China to continue to support practitioners in China. “It’s a good thing and it’s quite noble that you are doing this. I don’t think a lot of people invest time in that,” he said. “You are not alone. More and more people are finding out the truth and will support you.”
Teenagers Hope the Persecution Ends
Corina, 17, said that the most important thing was the goodness of people and that there should be no competition between world religions or spiritual paths, much less between them and ideologies, because this creates divisions in society. Her friend Alice agreed with her.
”We knew that there are several practices, beliefs in China, for example Taoism, and that they are marginalized by others, but I didn’t expect it to be so bad, I didn’t know that Falun Dafa practitioners are tortured. The CCP wants to keep people asleep with their eyes closed,” said Corina.
Alice, 16, said, “I wish them a lot of luck, and as bad as it is, I’m sure the day will come when they get rid of all this suffering.”
Corina said it was good that events about Falun Dafa were held, and she believes that all people of righteous faith should support one another. “In the end it doesn’t matter the nation, it doesn’t matter the country. The divine force that we all believe in has given us this planet for us humans and animals to live on, it doesn’t matter what country you are in, the planet belongs to everyone. We are all human beings and it’s good that we support each other in what is good and not in what is bad,” she said.
“I wish for this divine force to help them, to keep them strong, and whatever it is, not stray from their path and their faith and fall into this negativity that the CCP wants,” she continued. “Let’s have hope that good overcomes this evil. Let’s think positive because what you think is what you attract. They need to be strong and I wish them all the good in the world so they’re not alone. I don’t want anyone to suffer.”
