(Minghui.org) After concluding its Australia tour, the Shen Yun Global Company traveled to Taiwan on March 18 to kick off its 33-show tour. Prior to the performances, the performing arts company received congratulatory remarks from over 100 local officials.

Shen Yun Performers: “Traditional and Universal Values”
“I haven’t been back for a long time. I’m very happy to be back to perform in Taiwan,” said principal dancer Jane Chen, a Taiwan native.
She said she hopes to show audiences through Shen Yun that pre-communist China was “a nation rich in wisdom and civilisation.”

“Shen Yun conveys traditional and universal values. After watching it, the audience will feel spiritually elevated. For those who have not seen it, it is worth experiencing,” said principal dancer Jay Huang, also a Taiwan native.

Congratulatory Remark from President
In January 2025, President Lai also issued a congratulatory remark for Shen Yun’s Australia tour. He wrote, “I am pleased to learn that Shen Yun Performing Arts is scheduled to tour Australia from February 14 to March 16 this year. I would like to send you this special congratulatory message.”

Over 100 Officials Welcome Shen Yun

President of the Legislative Yuan, Han Kuo-yu, wrote, “Elegant arts that are extraordinary.”
Chiu Chui-cheng, minister of the Mainland Affairs Council, wrote, “Shen Yun is divinely formed and moves people’s hearts.”

Hou Yu-ih, mayor of New Taipei City, wrote, “Divine bearing shown; exquisite arts.”
Chen Chi-mai, mayor of Kaohsiung, wrote to Shen Yun, “Wonderful and successful.”

“Messages Related to Current Situation”
Douglas Hsu, Taiwan’s chief diplomat to Australia, traveled from Canberra to the Gold Coast to see Shen Yun on March 15.
Mr. Hsu spoke about Falun Gong practitioners’ perseverance in their faith amid the persecution of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that was depicted in Shen Yun.
“In the Shen Yun performance, there are actually a lot of messages that are related to the current overall situation in Taiwan,” he said, noting the constant threats of the CCP to the independent democracy.
“In the face of the coercion and oppression, we can have the courage to speak for ourselves and do the right thing.
“This is the biggest feeling and experience we have after watching the Shen Yun performance,” he said.
