Elected Officials Worldwide Recognise Shen Yun’s Work

(Minghui.org) Shen Yun’s eight touring companies performed in 14 cities in Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, and the United States between February 3 and 9, 2025.

Prior to Shen Yun’s Australia tour that launches on February 14, the performing arts company received welcome remarks from not only Australian elected officials, but also Taiwanese officials.

Taiwanese Officials Extend Remarks on Shen Yun’s Australia Tour

Senator Cinzia Pellegrino said after seeing the performance in Rome on February 4, “I am amazed by the skill of the dancers, which is unquestionable. They have such fluid movements that they seem to be flying, not touching the ground.”

“I also felt courage, passion, and emotion. So many feelings, [the artists] are truly good at conveying them.

“It’s a concept that’s rooted in elevated spirituality, and it’s something we are losing today as nihilism takes precedence, the emptiness that takes away man’s hope and the will to fight with it,” Ms. Pellegrino said.

Councilor Giulia Ghia of Rome said after seeing Shen Yun in Rome, “When the curtain opened, it was as if a star gate opened, taking people into another space. I must say that the performance was really touching.”

Bishop Luis Miguel Perea Castrillon said after seeing Shen Yun in Rome, “I think it is a combination of harmony, spirituality, and intersecting emotions. The light, the images, the movement, the bodily expression of the artists highlight that there is something not only material but deeply spiritual.”

“If we can learn something from this show, it’s that hope always triumphs. Regardless of time, distance, or challenges, mankind finds the strength to overcome adversity in his heart and his hope. This message transcends all boundaries.

Silvano Moffa said after seeing Shen Yun in Rome on February 3, “I think Shen Yun’s mission is significant. If people don’t preserve the tradition, they won’t have a future. Rich culture requires tracing back traditions and the thoughts, feelings, and spirits of the predecessors. This way, the tradition can continue in the future and remain fresh for a long time. The roots of the culture cannot be forgotten, and these must not be sealed.”

Rome City Councilor Pietrangelo Massaro said after seeing the performance, “There were many stories in the performance. The one that impressed me the most was undoubtedly the story of Falun Gong practitioners who unfortunately suffer the persecution (by the Chinese Communist Party). So this is also an important opportunity for us to say no again to persecution. This kind of persecution is completely unacceptable, so the stories this performances tells must be widely told and witnessed.”

Mayor of Llandudno Michael Pearce said after seeing Shen Yun in Llandudno, “Beautiful. We have been to China, having seen a lot of shows in China, but this one has them beaten hands down.”
