The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) International Exhibition was held in the Atrium on Federation Square in Melbourne, from February 22 to February 28, 2018.
The exhibition was open 24 hours a day. Tourists from all over the world got a chance to view the artworks which reflect the principles of Falun Dafa and expose the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China.
Since its first exhibition in the U.S. Rayburn House Office Building in 2004, the art exhibition has toured more than 200 cities in over 40 countries, and touched the hearts of people around the world.
Ms. Janine Rankin, coordinator of the art exhibition in Melbourne, said, “This exhibit has brought the beautiful message of Falun Dafa to the public. People feel joy, peace, and positive energy from these artworks. It also raises awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.”
Brandon, a student from Sydney, stood for a long time in front of a large painting called “Tears of Sorrow and Joy.” He said, “This painting tells the principle that the good will be rewarded and the wicked punished. The format is very touching. Everyone has free will. What you choose now determines your future…A painting is worth more than a thousand words!”
Brandon and his friend Christopher were appalled by the persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners. Christopher said, “The persecution is terrible! I’m saddened by what’s happening in China. Falun Gong practitioners shouldn’t be persecuted for their belief.”
Liyu, a tourist from Taiwan, said, “I was attracted to the glow on each painting from far away. Once I got closer, I found this is an exhibition about Falun Gong. It echoes with my heart. I had a positive feeling every time I saw this group raising awareness at tourist sites in Taiwan. They share their positive values with the world. There are so many conflicts in our society. If everyone could cultivate his heart and stay calm, there wouldn’t be so many conflicts.”
Mr. Jay M. Fidell, CEO of Thinktech Hawaii, said the artworks were superb and very expressive, and they were incomparable aesthetically and artistically. He was especially touched by the eyes of the little girl in the painting “Killed for Their Belief.”
Condemning the brutal persecution, Mr. Fidell said, “It should be exposed to the public.”
Ms. Kathy Wong from Canada said, “I have learned a lot from the exhibition. It makes me sad [about the persecution]. I think the children in the paintings are so innocent. It’s a sharp contrast to what they had to experience.”
Mr. Chen, Kathy’s friend, said, “The slanderous media propaganda made many people misunderstand Falun Gong. They have been deceived. These artworks show us that Falun Gong is actually very good.”
