April 28, 2016 | Along with Falun Gong practitioners worldwide, practitioners from five major cities in Europe remembered the 17th anniversary of Beijing’s Peaceful Protest on the weekend prior to April 25, 2016.
On April 25, 1999, over 10,0000 practitioners went to Beijing to peacefully protest the illegal arrest of practitioners. That July, Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime, banned Falun Gong and initiated a media campaign to incite hatred among Chinese citizen against anyone who followed the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Falun Gong practitioners held activities to raise awareness of and call for an end to the ongoing persecution of their spiritual practice and an end to atrocities, such as the Chinese regime’s state-sanctioned organ harvesting from living practitioners.
Activities were held in Milan, Italy; the Southern Black Forest region of Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Prague, Czech Republic; and Linz, Austria.
Milan, Italy: Peaceful Protest Outside the Chinese Consulate
Practitioners in Italy held activities for three days in downtown Milan, in Chinatown and outside the Chinese Consulate between March 23 and 25.
They displayed informational banners and posters telling people about the 17-year ongoing brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
Due to practitioners’ peaceful and persistent efforts, many people in Italy are now aware of the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and support the more than 230 million Chinese that have withdrawn from the Party and its affiliated organizations – the Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
Practitioners also collected signatures on a petition to bring Jiang Zemin to justice.
Westerners and Chinese tourists alike listened attentively to practitioners explain the importance of renouncing the Party, and many decided to quit the CCP.
Two Chinese ladies were shocked to hear about the Chinese state-sanctioned harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and asked how the practitioner knew about it.
The practitioner explained that the wife of a surgeon working in a hospital of Shenyang City first publicly exposed the live organ harvesting in 2006, and a police officer who was on armed guard duty witnessed in 2002 that two military surgeons harvested organs from a living woman practitioner in an operating room on the 15th floor of the General Hospital in the Shenyang Military Region.
One of the ladies decided to quit the CCP.
Southern Black Forest, Germany: Shocked to Learn about Ongoing Atrocities in China
Practitioners displayed informational banners about Falun Gong and the persecution. They also put up display boards with the same information at a famous tourist destination in the Southern Black Forest on April 23.
Four tourists from Switzerland wanted to know more about the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. They were shocked to hear for the first time about the CCP’s state-sanctioned organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit.
They did not hesitate to sign the petition calling for an end to the atrocity and in support of bringing Jiang Zemin to justice. All four said they would tell everyone they know or met what they had learned and ask them to help end the persecution of Falun Gong.
Copenhagen, Denmark: Organ Harvesting Atrocity Continues in China
Practitioners in Denmark mark the April 25th Peaceful Protest at City Hall Square in Copenhagen on April 23, 2016.
A man took several photos of the practitioners’ exercise demonstration. He said he was from Sweden and had heard about the persecution from practitioners in Sweden.
After hearing about the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, he did not hesitate to sign the petition calling for its end.
Prague, Czech Republic: People Stop to Learn about Falun Gong
Practitioners in Czech Republic held activities on Charles Bridge in Prague on April 23, 2016.
Practitioners set up display boards that described the ongoing persecution and handed out informational materials about Falun Gong in multiple languages.
Chinese tourists also learned how the CCP persecutes practitioners who live by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They also were told that they should cut their ties to the Party before it collapses, to avoid being implicated in the atrocities it has committed. Several Chinese people understood and quit the CCP.
The Danube, Austria: Signing a Petition to Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong
The practitioners set up in the busiest shopping section in downtown Linz – the Landstrasse. Passersby watched the peaceful Falun Gong exercise demonstration and read the banners depicting the persecution of the spiritual practice.
They could not understand why such a peaceful practice would be persecuted. Everyone listened attentively as practitioners explained, and many onlookers signed the petition calling for the persecution to end.
