The civil suit was filed on July 19th as the former Minister of Education, Ms. Chen Zhili, was visiting several African nations. The suit was filed on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners. Also on July 19th, Chen was summoned to appear before the Tanzanian court in reference to the case.
How can we, as a civilised and democratic society, find our conscience to oppose acts of terrorism and help bring those responsible to justice when we are not informed of such matters?
One man passed by our exhibit, after watching the exhibition, he said, “This is very powerful. I knew little about what is happening in China until now. The Chinese government’s formally acknowledges the persecution of Falun Gong at Wednesday’s National Press Club. Ying’s responses attempted to justify and downplay the crackdown, ironically it also described what the Chinese government has been doing for the past five years.
