For more than three years, the Falun Dafa Information Center has received — on a daily basis — dozens of reports of arbitrary detention, forced-labor, extortion, torture, death and other forms of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China.
When Dafa practitioners lost consciousness from being beaten, guards instigated the inmates to pour water mixed with instant noodle seasoning and hot pepper into their noses.
Since the House of Commons and Senate accepted the motion in October 2002, this Bill has had a positive effect. It was instrumental in the release of three Canadian residents’ family members in China who had been sent to forced labor camps for practicing Falun Gong.
