The NSW Falun Dafa Association said today
it would sue a Sydney Chinese newspaper claiming it defamed the
ancient spiritual movement.
Jianjun was seen in the No.2 detention center at Huaihua in August 2003. At that time, he was as thin as a skeleton. He could not stand straight and had suffered severe injuries.
The plaintiffs in the legal action are distressed by the publication of that article and by the statements and suggestions made. They view the publication of such statements most seriously.
From April 16 to May 9, 2004, the 13th Argentina International Book Fair was held in the largest exhibit hall in the country’s capital city, Buenos Aires. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the book fair for the first time. About 1.3 million people, 300,000 more than usual, came to visit the book fair.

Chinese student Wang Jinwei was awarded with the Mid-length Television Movie Prize for his movie, Wish, at the American University Movie Art Festival on April 30. It was the first time a Chinese movie was awarded this prize.
Falun Dafa practitioners from Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Tasmania, Perth and Sydney held a large-scale parade in Sydney’s Chinatown to recount the great and peaceful journey of Falun Dafa.
The Chinese Consulate in Chicago refused to renew Ms. Dongmei Wang and Mr. Jiyun Kuang’s passports and withheld the passports simply because they are Falun Gong practitioners. On March 28, US lawyer Eric Ziegenhorn wrote to Consul Saipo Zhou requesting Chinese Consulate to reconsider the withholding of Falun Gong practitioners’ passports to prevent the filing of a legal action.
