Mr. Wang Zhaojun, standing member of the Anhui Province Political Consultative Commission, recently wrote an open letter to Chinese leaders Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao stating that Falun Gong is the most urgent issue for China.
Gao Zhisheng, one of China’s most prominent human rights lawyers, was seen being taken away by secret police from his Beijing home on Sunday according to eye-witnesses. Gao had broken China’s biggest taboo by publicly calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.
Prisons and forced labor camps in Shanghai trample human rights and violate world trade principles. They produce large quantities of products made in labor camps for export to Europe and America, disrupting international trade markets.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) continues committing crimes, even though its persecution of Falun Gong has been widely exposed and spurns widespread condemnation from the international community. Instead, the Party has resorted to more sinister and concealed methods.
Recently, Chinese authorities sent out the following directive: Since early-April, the Chinese police have been secretly issuing “Notification on Strictly Carrying Out Background Investigations on Candidates for the Olympics and Performing a Pre-Selection Screening” to each province, autonomous region, police stations and bureaus in municipalities directly under the Central Government.
In April 2007, an additional twenty one deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in China due to torture were confirmed. Among them, sixteen practitioners died between January and March in 2007 and five died in April 2007. Eight practitioners, 38 percent, were females, and thirteen, 67 percent, were seniors over fifty years old.
Ms. Wang Bo, at about six feet in height, is an intelligent and good-natured music student who had diligently practiced piano since she was quite young. Wang Bo had passed the highest exam, Piano Exam Level X. She was the pride of her family, friends, high school, and even the City of Shijiazhuang.
