  • Attorney General intervenes in Falun Gong torture case
  • The Federal Attorney General's Department intervened yesterday to stop a default judgement in the Supreme Court of NSW against a high-ranking Chinese government official for his role in the torture and persecution of two Sydney Falun Gong practitioners while they were in China. The Attorney General's department had received correspondence from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in relation to the case.

  • Australian Falun Dafa Practitioner Wins Lawsuit against Bo Xilai (Photos)

    Bo Xilai has committed serious crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong. At a press conference in front of the New South Wales Supreme Court in Sydney on November 7, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners announced that the Supreme Court of NSW had issued a default judgment on November 5, recognizing that the defendant, Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, had failed to provide a defense for the case brought against him by Mr. Pan Yu. The judgment was in favor of the plaintiff, Falun Gong practitioner Pan Yu.

    Beijing Tells Press of Intent to Bar Millions of Falun Gong, Violate Olympic Charter

    Beijing Olympic organizers have openly expressed a policy banning Falun Gong adherents from attending the 2008 summer Olympics. Beijing's decision stands in stark violation to Articles 35 and 36 of China's own Constitution, which promise freedom of association and religious belief, as well as the International Olympic Committee's bylaws, which prohibit any form of discrimination including that religious or political

  • High Level Official in China Advocates Cessation of Falun Gong Persecution


    Mr. Wang Zhaojun, standing member of the Anhui Province Political Consultative Commission, recently wrote an open letter to Chinese leaders Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao stating that Falun Gong is the most urgent issue for China. Wang pointed out in the letter that the most urgent issue is to stop the persecution against Falun Gong and provide state compensation for the victims. After Jia Jia, a Shanxi provincial technology official, Wang is the second high level CCP official to call for the stop of the persecution against Falun Gong.
