Falun Gong invited to demonstrate exercises in Floriade, Canberra


From 17 September to 16 October is this year’s Floriade in Canberra. It is located in the Commonwealth Park beside the beautiful Lake Burley Griffin. Here more than 1 million tulips along with other flowers are most attractive, not only to Australian tourists but also to overseas visitors.

With assistance and support from the U.S. State Department, Members of Congress and several NGOs, Ms. Weixun Li arrived in the U.S. last week as a UN refugee. Li had fled China where she had been tortured to the brink of death.

In the beginning of winter in 2001, two-year-old Tianhao visited his grandmother’s home, and noticed that the house was empty and covered with a layer of dust. He immediately thought of his mother, grandmother, aunt and uncle. With tears in his eyes, little Tianhao said to his father, “There used to be lots of people in this house, but now there are only you and me left.”
