Over the last two weekends Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners came from Sydney, Goulburn and Canberra to join the local practitioners for Tulip Time in the Southern Highlands.
From 17 September to 16 October is this year’s Floriade in Canberra. It is located in the Commonwealth Park beside the beautiful Lake Burley Griffin. Here more than 1 million tulips along with other flowers are most attractive, not only to Australian tourists but also to overseas visitors.
Chinese and Western Falun Gong practitioners participated in the “Winton Outback Festival” in central Queensland. Ten practitioners headed off to Winton on the two-day drive to bring Falun Dafa to the Australian Outback.
Woman Tortured in China, Settles in U.S. as UN Refugee
With assistance and support from the U.S. State Department, Members of Congress and several NGOs, Ms. Weixun Li arrived in the U.S. last week as a UN refugee. Li had fled China where she had been tortured to the brink of death.

The Ryde Aquatic Festival was held in Ryde, suburb of Sydney. Falun Gong practitioners took part in the activity for the sixth year in a row.
In the beginning of winter in 2001, two-year-old Tianhao visited his grandmother’s home, and noticed that the house was empty and covered with a layer of dust. He immediately thought of his mother, grandmother, aunt and uncle. With tears in his eyes, little Tianhao said to his father, “There used to be lots of people in this house, but now there are only you and me left.”

The Third Directions Hearing was held on September 13, 2005 at Canberra High Court regarding Australian Falun Gong practitioners’ lawsuit against Foreign Minister Downer for abusing his power. Lawyers for both parties agreed to hold the next hearing on November 14.
